Your health and safety is our top priority. UCare is committed to helping contain the spread of COVID-19 by removing barriers to testing and care for our members.

When should I call a doctor?
  • If you have a cough, fever or shortness of breath, call your doctor/clinic first to find out if you need to be tested.
  • You may also call the 24/7 Nurse Line or visit the WebNurse in the Message Center for advice.
  • If your health care provider recommends you be tested, you may be sent directly to a testing center.
  • We encourage you to take advantage of telehealth and online services to minimize exposure.
UCare will cover copays, coinsurance or deductibles for doctor-ordered COVID-19 tests meeting CDC guidelines for members in all of our plans, for the immediate future.

During this time, UCare will also cover all copays, coinsurance or deductibles for medically necessary clinic and urgent care services received at the visit when a COVID-19 test is administered at an in-network clinic, and at out-of-network clinics if in-network alternatives are not available.

For everyone’s protection, we will not be meeting in person with members or prospective members at UCare’s offices for the immediate future. We are happy to speak with you on the phone, please call Customer Service, or write to us in the Message Center.

Download this form to ask your doctor or clinic to work with UCare to provide a cost estimate for health care services. We’ll send your estimate to you within 10 business days from the day we receive your completed form.

Gender Identity Information Form:
Use this form to notify UCare of your gender if it is different than the sex you were assigned at birth. This will help process your health care claims appropriately.
